How to get to S’Amarador Beach

S’Amarador Beach is located in the area of Santanyí, in the heart of the Mondragó Natural Park, which is fantastic for two reasons: the natural beauty and the proximity to several points of interest. To get to this beach by car from Santanyí or Cala d’Or, in the southeast area of the island, just take the MA-6102 road towards Mondragó. You will find the S’Amarador Beach parking lot before reaching Cala Mondragó, and from that point you will have to walk about 500 meters.

You can also get to S’Amarador Beach by public transport, as several buses pass through the parking area, or take a boat or kayak trip to visit the beach from the sea.

What You Will Find on this Beach

You will find a small but spectacular sandy area, less than 150 meters long and about 50 meters wide, which separates us from a shallow and calm sea, where families can play peacefully and where relaxing is almost mandatory. You will also find natural protection in the form of lush vegetation, which helps keep the wind controlled and gives another touch of beauty to S’Amarador Beach. You will also have at your disposal a fantastic beach bar with cold drinks, fish, pizzas and snacks, and where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. Finally, it is relevant to indicate that there is a lifeguard during the high season months.

When is the Best Time to Visit S’Amarador Beach

To make the most of S’Amarador Beach in Mallorca, you should visit it in summer, when the good weather and heat are perfect for enjoying the sea, sun and sand. Between May and October the temperatures are very pleasant and the beach bar is open (which brings quite an atmosphere to this beach). During the summer months there are more people and it can be more difficult to find a good spot in S’Amarador. You can also visit the beach in winter, but there are no services available and the weather is not ideal, naturally.

Available Services and Accessibility

You can access a location near S’Amarador Beach by car, where it is possible to park (although it is recommended to arrive very early, as there are not many places available). Then you only need to walk a few minutes to reach paradise. You can rent umbrellas and sunbeds at the beach bar, where you can also drink and eat something. This beach also has toilets and a lifeguard, but there is no adapted access for people with reduced mobility.

One of the most famous coves in Mallorca, it is located a short distance from Playa S’Amarador, and is named after the Natural Park where it is located. Transparent waters and fine sand, lots of natural beauty, tranquility and hiking trails… It has nothing to envy from the beach object of this article, the truth.

Cala Figuera

Cala Figuera is another of the spectacular coves in the Santanyí area. Located in a small but beautiful fishing village, it is a fantastic place to capture the essence of Mallorca. It is very small and has no services or sand, but it is a magical corner.

Sa Font De N’Alis

In the same area we can find this small cove with a blue flag, with many pine forests around and a feeling of peace that is difficult to find in other places.

Cala Santanyí

This protected bay is fantastic for snorkeling or kayaking, and is also very close to two points of interest that we recommend visiting: the Es Pontàs viewpoint and the Torre Nova.

Caló des Moro

This small cove (only about 40 meters) is surrounded by vegetation, has white sand, crystal clear waters and perfect conditions for snorkeling and swimming. It is important to know that it does not have services or a lifeguard, and access is not easy, but it is worth it.
